Your child's safety is of the utmost importance to us. In an effort to ensure the safety of each child, we have procedures in place which will help us protect your child and provide you with peace of mind. Only authorized persons will be able to leave our facility with your child. Those persons must be listed on our carpool slips (and on your Child Information Card). We must be informed by you if someone else will be picking up your child. Emergency situations are not exempt-you must inform us before we will release your child to someone who is not listed. We will need the person's name and a description of what he or she looks like. The person picking up your child will have to show us photo identification before we will release your child from our care.
We assume that both parents have the right to pick up your child, unless you give us a copy of a court order stating otherwise. We will need to discuss how to handle the non-custodial parent who arrives to pick up your child. Without a copy of the court order, we cannot refuse a parent.
The safety of your child is our top priority. Therefore, if the person who arrives to pick up your child appears incapable of bringing your child home safely, we will call the parent or emergency contact person listed on your Child Information Card to request assistance.
