This juried show and exhibit offers artists in the community the opportunity to display works reflecting their faith journey. Artists of many faith perspectives enter artwork using a variety of media. Well-known artists and instructors serve as jurors, and prizes are awarded.
We are pleased to announce (and call for submissions for) our
18th Annual Expressions of Faith Juried Exhibition: Open to Love - the family of the Prodigal Son.
Expressions of Faith encourages artists from around the region to enter pieces that reflect or are inspired by our show’s theme. This year our theme, “Open to Love – the family of the Prodigal Son,” looks at the love shared, rejected, and accepted by all the characters in this moving parable – father, son, and brother. Artists are encouraged to explore and interpret any vantage point(s) of this timeless story in their choice of media, style, and time—regardless of faith tradition, upbringing, or experience.
Cash prizes will be awarded, and pieces may be included in our Lenten worship celebrations.
Entries can be made at the Gallery at Grace, within Grace Church: United Methodist (900 Washington Street in downtown Wilmington, Delaware) at the following times:
Friday, February 1, 9 a.m. to Noon, or Monday, February 4, Noon to 4 p.m.
Please bring your pieces, a single completed entry form, and your entry fee.
Information is also available on our flyer below (click it for a full-sized image), and you can click here for a printable application form (pdf format).
Thank you for helping connect art and faith!
