New Life: Art Works!

This exhibition grew out of a transformational art session in the Women’s Group at Friendship House. Encouraged by former UD Professor of Art Rosemary Lane, the women created works expressing their past. Prayerfully reflecting on being free from their past, they created hope for their future.

New Life: Art Works! is a behind the scenes look at this inspiring “before and after” expression of “hope for the homeless” (a phrase from one of the participants). View the women’s artwork, their stories, and the faces of the women themselves in this impressive display of hope.

Art Works! is part of the global Inside Out Project of poster portraits placed outside on nearby buildings in downtown Wilmington—experience them inside and out!

Opening Monday, April 20th and continuing through Friday, May 25th.We will also be open during the Wilmington Art Loop, Friday, May 4th.  (5-7p.m.). And of course, the outdoor posters are visible at any time!
