Preschool & Kindergarten
Since 1963, thousands of families have found the value in the invaluable experience of attending Grace Church Preschool & Kindergarten.
Our school provides a Christian environment where our young students can grow and develop according to God's plan. Our child-centered classes have a maximum of eight to 16 students, and the two experienced teachers in every classroom are sensitive to young children's needs.
While the preschool has historically provided only half-day programs, the 2011-12 school year marks a new era. We have extended our hours to include full-day programs. Our schedules are also more flexible than ever, giving families' the ability to design a program that best suits their needs.
Every students attends our regular school day from 9 a.m. to noon. Optional Lunch Bunch can extend that day, every day, until 1 p.m. Our new Breakfast Buddies and Stay & Explore programs can lengthen the day even more, starting as early as 7:30 a.m. and ending as late as 5:30 p.m. Two- three- and five-day schedules also are available for more age groups than ever.
At Grace, students participate in fun, hands-on activities that help them learn through play and enhance their self-esteem. Music and movement classes are included for all students every week. We are enhancing this already outstanding curriculum with weekly instruction in Spanish and computer use, at no extra charge, for every student in our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs.
Our school also partners with several private programs to offer after-school enrichment activities, including soccer, gymnastics and additional music lessons. Some of these programs are at the school site, which is conveniently located in Wilmington's business district. Others are off-site, with the vendor providing transportation.
Grace Church Preschool & Kindergarten has always been a place where young children make new friends and experience new wonders every school day. With our new hours, schedules and classes, we hope even more families will find the value in our school!
