Grace Church reaches out to nurture and care for all God’s children that they may come to experience God’s love through us.
Our ministries of caring include:
Periodic worship services off site
Grace Church pastors and musicians supply periodic worship services for those living in retirement/nursing communities. Some of these communities are Franciscan Healthcare Center, the Methodist Country House, and Cokesbury Village.
Sharing Time During Sunday worship
Our Sunday morning worship service includes a sharing time to keep the worshipping community abreast of our joys and concerns. These items are then incorporated into the morning’s pastoral prayer.
Prayer Chain
The Grace Church prayer chain is always ready to receive prayer requests so that we can lift up to God those persons and situations on our hearts. The prayer chain is composed of laity committed to the ministry of prayer.
Weekly Pastoral Letter
Our senior pastor writes a weekly pastoral letter that is sent to all our homebound members along with a copy of the weekly church newsletter, Grace Church News.
Lay Visitation
A team of lay visitation pastors makes monthly contact with every homebound member by means of a visit, a note, or a phone call. Each year during Advent and Lent, homebound members receive Holy Communion.
Health Ministries
A bulletin board donated by Christiana Care keeps members and friends abreast of information promoting healthful lifestyles. Once or twice a year, Grace Church offers a health awareness event featuring speakers and information on health topics important to our membership and community.
